Mettler-Toledo Showcases New Advanced Inspection Systems at Anuga FoodTec India 2024

Mettler-Toledo to demonstrate innovative product inspection technologies to boost productivity, enhance food safety and combat rising costs

Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection will feature its state-of-the-art product inspection technologies under the theme “Achieving Food Safety throughout Food Processing” at Anuga FoodTec India 2024, formerly known as ANUTEC. As India’s premier international exhibition for the food processing and packaging industry, the event will take place in Mumbai from 28th to 30th August 2024. Visitors can find Mettler-Toledo at booth M42, Hall 3, where Mettler-Toledo experts will provide valuable insights and demonstrate their innovative product inspection solutions that enhance productivity and combat rising costs for food manufacturers – at a time when it has never been more crucial.

Advanced product inspection technologies on display at booth M42 include:

X52 X-ray Inspection System: As the newest launch in the X2 Series, the X52 sets a new standard in x-ray inspection. Designed for inspecting challenging packaged products, the X52 offers exceptional detection capabilities at an incredible price point.

Its proprietary software allows seamless transitions between single and dual energy modes, optimising performance with exceptional precision. Single energy mode identifies contaminants like metal, glass, mineral stone and dense plastics, offering thorough inspection. Dual energy mode further enhances accuracy by analysing materials’ densities, providing an advanced level of detection to protect consumer well-being and uphold industry standards.

The X52 also offers a broad range of quality assurance checks. Through its use of the Advanced Material Discrimination (AMD) algorithm and ContamPlus™ software, the X52 sees through packaging materials to inspect the contents with remarkable accuracy. The AMD algorithm enhances the system’s ability to differentiate between materials, offering precise contaminant detection even in challenging scenarios like overlapping products and varying thicknesses.

The X52 helps to minimise false rejects, reducing production halts and wastage, thereby boosting productivity and cutting costs. Future-proof and adaptable, it consolidates multiple inspection capabilities into one machine, providing long-term reliability and efficiency for evolving product lines.

X12 X-ray Inspection System: Also, part of the X2 Series, the X12 is ideal for entry-level manufacturers needing a competitively-priced option. The x-ray inspection solution provides outstanding foreign body detection for various contaminants, facilitating product safety at an accessible price point. The X12 is ideal for single-lane inspection of small to medium-sized packages, featuring the HiGain detector for sharper images and exemplary contaminant detection.

C35 Checkweigher: This precision checkweighing system, specifically designed for food production environments, delivers accurate weight measurement under challenging production conditions. Its hygienic washdown capability offer optimal cleanliness and ease of operation. A modular design allows for customisation to handle any package type effectively.

M31R Metal Detection System: Designed for enhanced metal detection sensitivity, the M31R system delivers high sensitivity to detect metal contaminants in both dry and wet products. As an entry-level metal detection model, the M31R is a great choice for manufacturers requiring food safety compliance. Its future-proof modular design allows for easy upgrades as requirements change.

ProdXTM Data Management: Mettler-Toledo will also feature its innovative ProdX™ data management software at the event. ProdX™ offers manufacturers a comprehensive solution for data collection, providing real-time insights into production performance thereby facilitating proactive decision-making and optimising operational efficiency. The information provided by ProdX™ helps manufacturers to comply with regulatory standards and enhance quality control measures throughout the production process.

The dedicated Mettler-Toledo Service Team will also be present at the show, ready to explain how pairing cutting-edge technology with comprehensive service support and training can help manufacturers to maximise production uptime. By understanding the challenges they face and the solutions on offer, manufacturers can learn first-hand the best ways for them to boost efficiency on their production lines, as well as drive longevity for their product inspection systems – ultimately helping to combat rising costs.

We are thrilled to present our latest innovations in food inspection technology at Anuga FoodTec India 2024,” says Siddharth Kachroo, PI Head of Sales, Mettler-Toledo, India. “Our goal is to help food manufacturers overcome industry challenges, especially in the face of rising costs. By integrating our advanced inspection systems, manufacturers can achieve advanced product safety and quality, streamline operations and ultimately reduce costs. We are committed to supporting the food industry with solutions that boost efficiency, combat rising costs and, ultimately, promote safety on the production line.”
