Eggoz Introduces Traceable Free-Range Eggs Under Farm and Fable Brand

Eggoz has launched its new Farm and Fable by Eggoz Free Range Eggs in India, combining free-range production with farm-level traceability. The launch comes as consumer interest grows in transparent food sourcing, animal welfare, food safety, and clean-label nutrition, particularly among urban households seeking greater visibility into how food is produced.

The company said each pack features a unique batch code that consumers can enter on its website through the “Know Your Eggs” section. The verification platform provides batch-level information including the source farm, farmer details, farming practices, feed information, technology-enabled production processes, and external laboratory test reports.

According to Eggoz, the initiative is designed to provide consumers with verifiable information about the origin and production of the eggs rather than relying solely on product-level claims. The company said the offering responds to growing demand for premium eggs, free-range products, traceable food, animal welfare, and greater supply chain transparency.

The product has initially been launched in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune, with plans to expand into Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, and other Tier-I cities through leading quick commerce platforms. Eggoz said the eggs undergo automated grading, UV sanitisation, weight screening, and processes designed to minimise human handling, supporting consistency and hygiene across batches.

Abhishek Negi, Co-Founder and CEO, Eggoz, said, “At Eggoz, we have always believed that how an egg is produced matters just as much as the egg itself. With Farm and Fable by Eggoz Free Range Eggs, we are bringing consumers eggs from hens raised the way nature intended, but more importantly, we are giving them the ability to trace it, verify it, and trust it. As Indian households become more mindful about the origins and quality of their food, we see strong and growing demand for transparency they can actually check for themselves.”

The launch reflects a wider shift in India’s food and FMCG market, where consumers are increasingly seeking information about sourcing, production practices, food safety, and nutritional attributes. For Eggoz, the Farm and Fable offering places traceability and production transparency alongside the product as part of its approach to premium egg retailing.

As demand for free-range eggs and premium protein products develops across urban India, the company is positioning traceable sourcing and accessible production information as key elements of its offering. The move also highlights the growing role of supply chain visibility in fresh food, protein nutrition, FMCG, and modern food retail.
